4. I have tried all the above instructions, but there is still no response from the device. The Scanner is working absolutely fine with 2 other PCs (as stated in Point 2 above)

5. I have contacted HP online support and the engineer there has guided that some windows component is preventing communication with the scanner leading to failed installation. I thereafter have re-installed the windows on the laptop. But nothing has been of help so far.

Please help me resolve this issue at the earliest.
