I installed Adobe reader yesterday I would like to print selected pages from my excel work book to PDF but can't find my adobe PDF printer? PDF printer on windows 7?
Instead of a physical printer, you can select Adobe PDF in almost any Windows or Mac OS application. Print to PDF creates an electronic copy of your file that you can save to disk.

Choose Adobe PDF as the printer in the Print dialog box.
To customize the Adobe PDF printer setting, click the Properties (or Preferences) button. (In some applications, you may need to click Setup in the Print dialog box to open the list of printers, and then click Properties or Preferences.)
Click Print. Type a name for your file, and click Save.

The Adobe PDF printer is not available on Mac. However, you can use the Save As Adobe PDF option to print a file to PDF on Mac.
Note:
In macOS Mojave (v10.14), when you try to print a document to PDF using the System Print Dialog > Save As Adobe PDF, the following error message is displayed: 'This workflow contains the action Save As Adobe PDF, which is provided by a third party. Third party actions must be explicitly enabled.'

Click the PDF button and choose Save As Adobe PDF.

Acrobat 7 is an Adobe software product that is used to create and edit PDF files. When installed on your computer, Adobe Acrobat 7 includes a PDF printer that allows you to print to PDF from any program or application on your computer. Installing the PDF printer is as simple as installing your Adobe Acrobat software. As of August, 2011, the current version of Acrobat is Acrobat X, but you can still install Acrobat 7 if you have an older installation disk.
1.Insert your Adobe Acrobat 7 installer disk into your computer's optical drive. The setup process should start automatically. If it does not, open the disk from 'My Computer' and double-click on 'setup.exe' to start the installation.

Click 'Next' when the Adobe Acrobat 7 window appears on your screen. This takes you to the setup window, which you must also click 'Next' on to proceed.

4.Read through the license agreement that appears on your screen. In order to continue with the installation, you must click 'Accept,' which brings up the customer information window.
5.Type in your name and serial number in the related fields in this window. The serial number is listed on the installation disk case. Click 'Next' when you are done, which takes you to the installer caching window. You should click 'Next' there as well to proceed. The next window that appears is the PDF printer installation option window, called the PDFMaker window.

7.Check 'Typical' on the setup type window by clicking the box with your mouse. Click 'Next,' which takes you to the destination screen, where you should click 'Next' again. Click 'Install' on the next screen and Acrobat 7 will install with the PDF printer option. Installation can take up to one hour, depending on the speed of your computer. You will need to click 'Finish' once the 'Installation Complete' screen appears.
Tips
- When you want to print to PDF from a program on your computer, click on 'File' and then 'Print.' When the print dialog box appears, use the printer selection drop-down menu to select 'Adobe PDF 7.0,' and it will print to PDF.
- For a PDF printer that is not functioning properly, start Acrobat 7 and click on 'Help' and select 'Detect and Repair' to fix the issue.
